Sr. Marie Claire joined the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hall in Pittsburgh, in 1941. She was a teacher in schools of the Greensburg, Pittsburgh and Altoona-Johnstown dioceses. In 1977, she became director of therapeutic and recreational activities at Kane Regional Hospital and he Glen Hazel Regonal Center in Pittsburgh, serving for 22 years. Sr. Marie Clare lived primarily at the St. Steven Convent in Pittsburgh.
