Notes for Ambrose Innocent Farabaugh
Ambrose was raised in Allegheny Township, Cambria County, Pa. At the time of his marriage to Josephine, he was a butcher living in Madison, Pa. The couple initially moved in with Josephine’s parents, George and Margaret Kurtz, in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County. They later moved to Greensburg, and then by 1918 they settled in Duquesne, Pa., where Ambrose was a coal miner, laborer for a plumbing company and also a laborer for a W.P.A. road project.
