“Mamie” was a cafeteria cook for Tri-Valley High School.

Arthur was a coal miner for Susquehanna Collieries and lived in Valley View, Pa. He died in a mining accident, asphyxiated due to mine gas. He and his brother William were at the Summit Branch Colliery in Williamstown, Pa. and had fired a dynamite charge. When Arthur moved to another section a sudden fall of coal trapped him. A pullmotor was used to clear it but the operation took over an hour and Arthur was lifeless by the time he was reached.
