On the ship manifest, he was identified as an agricultural laborer of Slovakian origin, last living in Csaklyo, Hungary. He arrived with $10 and was intending to join a brother Mikaly in Johnstown, Pa. Jozef and his family settled in Johnstown. He was a steelworker.
