In 1890, Theodore was noted as being a farmer and stock raiser in Barr Township, Cambria County, Pa. He and Catherine settled at R.D., Nicktown, Pa. In 1903, the family home burned to ashes along with most of the family’s furniture and clothing, with a lot of potatoes and apples. A defective stovepipe was the origin and there was no insurance for the severe loss.
