Paul lived in Newark, NJ, and was a pilot for Curtiss Wright Aeronautical of Woodbridge, NJ. He died along with 3 passengers when the plane he was piloting attempted an emergency landing on an open field a mile from the airport in Titusville, Fla., during light rain and fog. The wake was closed casket and Paul’s mother refused to believe in the accident until a class ring was found near the crash site.
