Notes for Louis John Bechel
Louis was injured when a rock fell on his back on July 7, 1944, while working at the Marenzo coal mine in Dysart, Pa. A brother-in-law, George N. Kirsch was in another section of the mine and assisted with the rescue, but Louis died a few days later, on July 12.
