Leonard and Margaret settled at R.D. 4, Ebensburg, Pa. Leonard was an Army veteran, farmer and also worked at Ebensburg Center.
In 1952, Leonard was involved in collision while driving his truck full of farm potatoes destined for the Brown Brothers chip factory. The truck rolled upside down following the accident with a sedan driven by F.W. Little, at Oak Street and 27th Street in Altoona, Pa. Leonard was evidently uninjured, but Little was admitted to Mercy Hospital with forehead abrasions. “Neighborhood youngsters helped collect the scattered potatoes which resumed their interrupted trip to the factory.”
