Mary graduated from Patton High School and 1918 and from Seton Hall College in 1923. She left Patton for Tucson, Az., in 1924. She studied teaching while in college, but contracted tuberculosis and went West with her sister Agnes to seek treatment. Their older sister Bertha later arrived, and stayed to care for Mary in Tucson. Mary’s health continued to decline, however, and she eventually died “of a complication of diseases.”
