Joseph settled in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was a prominent artist and illustrator in both Pittsburgh and New York City, and long-time teacher. Joseph was a member of WHISKEY Painters of America, past President of Pittsburgh Water Color Society, member of Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and other art groups. During WWII he served in the U S Navy in the Pacific.
