Notes for James A. Kirsch
Jim lived on the lower half of the original Farabaugh tract, purchased by Augustine Farabaugh in 1840, near Bradley Junction, Pa. He was a lifelong farmer, and belonged to The Pa. State Grange, Cambria County Farm Bureau and The Pa. Farm Association. In WWII, he was a sargeant in the 20th Tank Battalion and was awarded the Distinguished Unit Bade, Army Occupation Medal (Germany), American Theater Ribbon and received two Purple Hearts for wounds incurred in Germany.
